Dr. Luis Fandos, MD, ABAPM is a highly respected interventional pain management specialist with over 25 years of experience. Originally from Rosario, Argentina, he completed his residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and fellowships in interventional and neuropathic pain at Columbia University and Beth Israel Medical Center.
He serves as a physician leader at New York Spine and Pain Physicians and directs the Division of Pain Medicine at South Shore University Hospital. He was recently appointed Clinical Assistant Professor at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
Beyond traditional pain management, Dr. Fandos is deeply engaged in cellular and regenerative medicine, utilizing genetic testing, peptide therapy, IV treatments, and nutritional protocols to create personalized wellness plans that target disease at the cellular level. Lauri brings nearly 40 years of experience in the health and wellness industry, with a deep background in dietetics, functional medicine, and genetics. She holds a Bachelor’s in Dietetics from Texas Woman’s University and a Master’s in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States. She began her career in fitness and nutrition, later earning certifications from the Cooper Clinic and becoming a Certified LEAP Therapist (CLT), specializing in food sensitivities and gut health.
Over the past decade, Lauri has become a recognized expert in genomics, applying Nutrigenomic (NGx) and Pharmacogenomic (PGx) testing to develop clinically approved, genetic-based wellness reports across 9 key areas of health. She has led the development of genetic-based weight loss programs for major brands like Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, CVS, and GNC, and co-authored ISSA’s genetic testing certification course.
